Does Octopancy work with every smart home device?
Support depends on the manufacturer, model, available functions and a usable provider connection. Before deployment, the available controls for your devices are clarified.
Does Octopancy automatically detect whether someone is present?
The control described here follows scheduled reservation times. A reservation is not sensor-based presence detection.
Do guests need their own account or an app?
The guest access described here requires no additional Octopancy account. Setup takes place in the browser using a link and a verification code sent to the email address on the booking. No app installation is required.
Does guest access automatically allow doors to be opened?
No. Access permits only the explicitly enabled and supported controls within the defined period. Door access requires a suitable device integration that has been configured accordingly.
